Over time, stainless steel may stain due to oil build up. Any staining or residue can be scrubbed with the powdered version of Barkeeper's friend and a soft scrubber.

"The pan looks good and for its size, is surprisingly lighter than I expected it to be. The only reason I took some stars away is that my pan was delivered with a small rust spot on the inside wall. It easily scrubbed off with a little scotch brite but still it was new, so I don’t think I should’ve had too. Performs nicely though so i’m satisfied enough."

"The Essential pan with curved sides is perfect for whisking sauces and for making béchamel sauce. The rounded sides fit exactly the shape of a wire whip (un fouet). The pan also heats evenly and has great balance. This is a well-engineered and manufactured utensil."
